Amma Two Wheeler Scheme 2023
It is a Scheme to help poor working women purchase women-friendly two-wheelers to commute to the workplace. Usability is the main consideration and, therefore, the vehicle is without gears. Eligibility Condition Amma 2-Wheeler Scheme
- A woman who participates individually or collectively in a group sustenance activity.
- Women registered as workers in an organised and unorganised sector, such as agricultural labour, etc.
- Women employed in stores and institutions.
- Women who are self-employed in small jobs or whatever.
- Women working in Government Aided Organization / Private Institution / Government projects/ Community Based Organization -PLF, VPRC, Makamai, who are either on consolidated salary or daily wages or on contract employment
- Correspondent/Banker Facilitators and ASHA Workers.
- Beneficiary would have had to write 8th Class exam.
- The beneficiary should be native of and residing in Tamil Nadu in the age group of 18 to 40 years
- and should know driving and possess valid Two Wheeler Driving License at the time of applying.
- The annual income of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs.2,50,000
- The scheme will prioritize working women residing in remote places and hilly regions, as well as women belonging to women-headed households, deserted women, differently-abled persons, destitute individuals, unmarried women aged above 35 years, Scheduled Castes/Tribes, and transgender people.
