The “West Bengal Health Scheme Portal” has been launched by the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal for Government employees and pensioners and beneficiaries of GIA Colleges and Universities of West Bengal. Under the WBHS scheme, better medical facilities are to be provided to the employees of the Government of West Bengal.
West Bengal Health Scheme 2023
West Bengal Health Scheme is launched by the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal. The government has given this facility to the eligible West Bengal government employee, retired and family pensioner. In addition, the Government of West Bengal extended the facilities of the Indian Police Service (IPS), WBHS, to the employees of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Forest, under the predecessor of the CGHS.
Under the WBHS scheme one can get reimbursement of the cost of OPD treatment for 17 diseases as per the cost of all indoor treatment in empaneled hospitals within the state of West Bengal. Apart from these, treatment can also be availed in 11 empaneled hospitals outside West Bengal.

The main objective of the West Bengal Health Scheme is to provide health facilities to the state government employees and pensioners and the beneficiaries of GIA Colleges and Universities of West Bengal.
